The Perfect Workout Set-Up

It doesn’t matter if you workout in the gym, the backyard, or the garage… here is a list of essentials that will improve any workout!

1. Hydration

Rule #1… hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!!! Water helps your body exercise efficiently and dehydration is dangerous. Being dehydrated will cause you to become light headed and dizzy, get muscle cramps, and it will slow down your recovery. On the flip side, being properly hydrated will allow your body to transfer blood, oxygen, and nutrients throughout your body more efficiently.

2. Space and Light

It may seem obvious, but atmosphere is everything when it comes to working out. If you are lacking motivation to work out, consider the space that you are exercising in. Be sure to pick a space that is clean and bright with lots of room to move around.

3. Have a Plan

Go in with a plan. A workout without a strategy is bound for failure. Set yourself up for success by mapping out your workout before you start. Before I walk into the gym, I like to type out my entire workout from warm-up to cool-down on my phone . This helps me keep myself accountable, save time while I am in the gym.

5. “Jump Proof” Headphones

Wireless headphones are a must-have for any workout! I have tried a few different brands of wireless headphones and have come to find that the ones that work best for me are the Beats High-Performance Wireless Headphones. These headphones have a 15 hour battery life, are comfortable, and stay in place.
